Not Me! Monday!

I feel compelled to now join the ranks of my favorite blogger :) and add to the Not Me! Monday!

I did not wake up this morning feeling I had been partying the night before like a college student only to remember that no- it was because I worked until 12:30 a.m.

I did not use the excuse of working late to skip going to the gym this morning. No, I do not enjoy my one hour of peace and quiet so much that I actually feel a little guilty about it. I also do not wear my earphones when the IPOD is turned off so I don't have to make conversation with the person next to me.

I did spend 4 hours this morning meeting with employees and seriously compare their actions to those of my almost 7-year-old sports fanatic. And no the almost 7-year-old sports fanatic did not win hands down with more common sense because adults always act their own age.

I did not get on my sister's blog to day and watch the slide show of her pictures of our babies when they were so little and almost get a little sad that they have gotten so big so fast. I am always so productive at work and never stray away from the task at hand.

I did not post my said pictures on the blog either. I am not a mother or an aunt who thinks our kids are the cutest in the world.

I did not call out the new dad in my office for actually coming back to work and not bring pictures of his new baby. Who does that?
Finally, I did not spend tonight watching my little sports fanatic watch basketball and thank God for giving me such a wonderful blessing.

Christmas Aftermath...

Mason is done "decking the halls full of jolly..." and Max has gone home to the North Pole until next Christmas. Mason very lovingly says, "Once you get an elf, you have him until you die." Oh how I'm sure Max is looking forward to his visits when Mason turns 40.

One of my favorite things about Christmas is getting pictures of all my friends and their little and now big kids. I like to think they get older and I just stay the same age.

Now, we are consumed with playing the Wii. But if Wii bowling and tennis are anything like real life, I'm going to be the next Steffi Graff. Although, I guess all this playing has convinced Mason that the bowling alley is the place to celebrate turning 7, so it will be good family fun for all.

Getting close, but not too close to Max...

We have now joined the many families with a special little visitor for the holidays. Max has been showing up in a variety of places and even makes the trip from our house to Nana's. Mason can't wait to get up in the morning and see where Max will reappear, but he will not look until Mommy goes with him.

Mason has also been playing basketball and he may not be the tallest on the team, but he wins the prize for having the most energy on the court. Thursday, the Piston's won 22-2, (according to Mason it was 16-4 and he scored 6 baskets), and it was so fun to watch them play so hard. Mason did not actually score, but did do a great job of looking and passing to the player in the best spot to shoot.
